DIY SCARF DRESSES!!

Hello you beautiful people out there!

Scarves are absolute summer essentials. Most of us have them in as many shapes and sizes possible. Until last year I did not use mine much. Probably only to wear around my neck or cover my head and face when I’m out in the sun. This year I decided to make full use of the money I had invested in these scarves! haha So this summer I have been experimenting a lot with scarves as head gears, as dress covers and what not!

Today’s DIY post is going to be on the same and I’m going to show you how you can style them in different ways to get a completely new look.

Pre-requisites: A huge scarf both length and breadth wise! πŸ™‚

Look 1.

Before we start I must tell you that the first one is my personal favourite mainly because you can wear this anywhere and over any sort of clothing inside. πŸ˜€

Take your scarf, hold it length wise. Look for the mid point of the scarf and tie one corner to the same mid point. Tie two knots so it is tight and secure.

Do the same with the other corner, take it and tie it almost next to the same mid point. Below is what you get after you are done!

Now just put your hands through these holes! πŸ˜›

Use a belt to secure the scarf and tadaaaaaa!

I wore this over a pair of jeans the other day and trust me, it looked amazing! ❀

Look 2.

The second look is a little similar to the first but the result varies because it has a great flowy back!

This time you need to hold your scarf width wise. Now tie one corner to the other corner of the breadth.

Do the same with the other side and this time again you’ll get two holes to pass your arms through! πŸ™‚

I love how breezy and flowy it is. Don’t use a belt for this one, just let it go with the wind! πŸ˜€

Look 3.

For this one, hold your scarf the way I am in the picture below! Taking it from behind your back like a towel!

Now just hold the two corners and proceed with a knot on the front. Tie two knots because you want it be really secure.

Go ahead and tie these two ends behind your back.

And there you go! πŸ˜€

It is a great bikini cover up and I think it looks great this way too! Perfect for a summer pool party! ❀

Look 4.

This one is a second variant of the previous one!

But here, instead of tying the two strands behind your back you take them and tie them around your neck like a halter! πŸ˜€

Or you can also just take one corner over your shoulder and one right behind your back like below!

Pull down the fabric over your shoulder to make it look more sophisticated. πŸ˜€

I loved the whole look and next time I party I am so going to wear my scarf this way, because why not! πŸ˜›

Look 5.

For this one take one side of your scarf (width wise). Hold one corner and tie it down!

Repeat with the other corner too and this is how it is going to look!

Tie these around your neck like a halter top! And take the parts around your waist and tie them behind your back. πŸ™‚

And this fabulous dress is what you get in return!

If you do the same process along the length of the scarf you can get a similar halter top which can be very nicely worn over a pair of jeans, on top of a camilsole!

Gorgeous, isn’t it? ❀

Look 6.

Lastly you can wrap Β and tie a scarf around a small skirt or a pair of shorts to get this beachy skirt!

I know it is a great bikini cover up but that does not mean you cannot wear it as such! Because come on, you don’t have to be on the beach everytime you want to dress like it!
