Hi there you beautiful people,
I have been too excited for this post ever since the day we shot it. I think this post is like a dream to me because of the amazing photography. It looks like it is out of a magazine and even though I’m sure some people might not like it, it is the kind I had always wanted. After a very long time in my life, through a lot of painful lessons, I have learnt that you cannot make others happy unless you yourself are! Please yourself and you will please everyone else too. Cheers to Aparna for the unbelievable photography. I will link her work in the end, dont forget to take a look. 😀
Lets cut the chase and come back to why I’m here. Fashion Blogging. haha.
OK, so florals and summers go hand in hand. Everybody loves to wear them and with florals in summers, you can never go wrong! BUT as Miranda Priestly sarcastically says “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking!” , I too was bored with too much of florals around. However then I also realised that it was particularly because everyone wears florals in this particular clichéd feminine way. This needed to be changed. And thats what I have done here. I broke ALL the rules.
This beautiful floral gown is an actual ASOS but thrifted from a street market. You won’t believe what defect made it get rejected from the company. The lining was longer than the gown itself. haha, what a catch for me!
Anyways, you are all aware of my love for endrogynous and street fashion. Generally any person with a beautiful gown like this would pair it with the best heels, jewelry and a cute little sling bag.
I, on the other hand, wore my sneakers, some grunge jewelry and carried a backpack instead!
These days fashion knows no rules. You make your own.
I personally hate to be associated with one type of clothing or style. I want to wear it all and experiment as much as I can. And no matter how much I might dislike someone’s sense of style, I respect them for being who they are. That’s the best thing you can do. Be yourself and lets others do the same!
Now, I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking. 😀
For hair I chose to make a half top knot which is my current favourite and also so boho and chic.
If your maxi skirt or dress is ever being too much of a hassle, tie a knot at the bottom on one side. It not only solves your problem but looks great and different. Good different. ❤
For my eye makeup I did the same trick that I had shown you guys in the white eye liner tutorial. It is so catchy !
A big shoutout to the incredibly amazing photographer Aparna Mohindra. Please don’t forget to check her work out for more of such dreamy pictures.
I hope you guys enjoyed me breaking the rules and the wonderful photography in the post. Please don’t forget to give me your feedback here and do give a thumbs up to the post if you think it was good enough. 😀
