DIY FLOWER CROWN!!

Hey everyone,

Last week I posted no DIY and I was asked by a lot of people for the same! But, I am not going to disappoint you this week. We are going to make our very own flower crowns! wohoooo.

Flower crowns have been a rage this season. Thanks to Spring/Summer, Coachella, Celebs. πŸ˜› They are everywhere. You get them in varied range of prices. There are ones you get for as cheap as 30 bucks. I personally don’t like those. It is because they are made with cheaper raw material and do not turn out real nice. The ones that I like are priced around INR250+ in local markets which is too much if you ask me! Don’t even get me started on the brands.

*deep breaths* πŸ˜›

So, as always I though of making my own and now you can too. Lets get started. Β πŸ™‚

Pre-requisites

Some good quality fake flowers from the market.

A pair of scissors.

Fabric Glue/ Fevi Quik or some other strong adhesive.

Some thread and a needle.

Elastic band.

STEP 01.

Buy a stick of nice flowers like these in the picture. You may choose any color you like. I got this stick for INR100, which is great, considering the fact that you can make at least three out of it. πŸ™‚ (Great gift for your friends)

Also get an elastic band like the one below. It would be better if you can get in black. πŸ™‚

STEP 02.

Measure the elastic around your head and cut the length you would require.

Now join the two ends by sewing them together. Trust me it doesn’t even take a minute. πŸ™‚

STEP 03.

Take out flowers from the stick.

With great precision cute the extra plastic from the back so that we get a flat surface.

(Take that green part out from the back that you see in the picture above!)

STEP 04.

Choose your adhesive. Just remember, if you’re using something as strong as Fevi-quik, please be extra careful. please πŸ™‚

Now go ahead and put some adhesive at the back of the flower and some at the spot on the elastic.

Place them together and tadaaa!

STEP 05.

KeepΒ repeatingΒ Β the same process with each flower. Also, don’t forget to place them very close. This is because when you wear it, the elastic stretches and the space between the flowers might be visible.

Now you can make two kinds of flower crowns.

You can either stop after putting flowers over half the band so you can wear it like a normal hair band whose back goes below your hair.

OR

You can cover the whole circle and creak a boho band which covers the whole of your head!

You’re done! wear it as you like it. Go rock and roll in your very own flower crown. πŸ˜€

Hope you guys liked the DIY. Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and pour in some comments too. I would be really happy if you share pictures of your very own Flower crowns. πŸ˜€ ❀

LOVE.
