Today I have got you the solution to the biggest problem ever! No seriously. I mean it.
Okay, how are you guys? As you can see I am a little too excited. But taking a deep breath, let’s start again. I am one of those girls who was always least interested in donning ethnic wear. But with time I have realised how necessary it is. I have worn a pair of jeans and t-shirt to weddings and made a complete fool of myself. Of course, then I thought I was playing it cool. Although I do think that’s who I was then and what I believed in, so it’s alright. At least I wasn’t being superficial or fake.
Anyway, now that I know the importance of dressing according to the occasion I always try to look for ethnic wear and have always come up with ideas that aren’t too much for people like me and have a modern twist to it. Today is going to be the same!
And yes, now to the solution that I was talking about. We all know what to wear this wedding season, there are multiple options. But have you realised that we put the least effort in choosing the shoes for weddings. I do! So when I came across this brand by Preet Kaur I knew I had all my solutions. This beautiful young lady designs shoes that are perfect for any such ethnic occasions. The ones I ordered are in white and embroidered and look no less than perfection. I am not even kidding. One glance and you know you’re in love. They not only easily go with any great ethnic salwar kamiz, lehenga, anarkali and whatever you choose for a wedding; but also with some easy going, not too dramatic looks for regular small functions or days!
So, firstly I have created two pretty modern yet ethnic looks for you and second shown you how the shoes do all the justice.
The first look is very sophisticated and elegant. Something that I may choose to wear for a small Pooja or function.
I simply wore my grey slit top over a pair of skinny jeans and added a full sleeved crop top on top of that. Skinny jeans works great as an option for churidars. After that I wrapped a pretty pink dupatta over my shoulders and wore my tasselled neckpiece as a belt around my waist to hold the dupatta in place.
A simple tied hair do, a pair of gorgeous earrings and of course my peep toes from Brand Preet Kaur make it the perfect indo-western outfit ever!
The second is fun. Ethnic and fun! I recently got this very beautiful purple top that has some beadwork done over it giving it some Indian touch. So I paired that with a pair of culottes and the same shoes. I love how fresh this look is. I mean who denied you of wearing culottes as a part of an ethnic ensemble. I think it looks great and the shoes only add more charm to it.
The next time you need an impromptu ethnic looks, you know what to try girls. I hope you liked the looks. Do let me know in the comments below. I love it when you do that.
