Oh how we wish we were free as a bird! But how do we know if a bird is free. Is anyone really is? I have always loved taking my own decisions and doing my own thing. It is hard for me to do something someone else asks me to do when I don’t agree with it at all. I feel guilty and trapped.
For the first time in my life I have started working. It’s a simple college internship but on the very first day itself I knew, I knew I don’t want this for the rest of my life. It doesn’t make sense. Nothing does. The nine to five job where where you sit like machine controlled freaks and do overtime so you can earn some more money but not a single coin of content. A lunch break where I see no sign of hope. Corporate life may be a highly looked up to one but it is definitely not for me.
Cutting the rant here, all I want to say is through my fashion and creative side I try and bring some freedom into my life. That freedom can be in any form. Breaking rules that the society made for me is the ultimate relief. Why should I adhere to them is the question?
Even when it comes to fashion I do what I like. We see a woman wearing an outdated pair of pants and judge her. I do too and I won’t deny. But I also do realise that at the end of the day, there are no rules. Every individual must be free to do whatever he wills to do unless it hurts another being (or even his own self).
In the last post I did my first Coachella look ( In case you missed, click Coachella Inspired : 01) and as promised today is the second. Connecting the dots here, Coachella appeals to many of us, not just because of the fashion but also for how free those fashion choices are. So that freedom of choice and living, here is the second look.
I bought this bell sleeved top from Sarojini Nagar recently and the reason was the print. I love these complicated and intricate prints. Plus, of course the bell sleeves make a great statement too. I went ahead to pair the top with my denim shorts and my new mesh jacket on top of the same. Mesh is definitely my new favourite. All mesh and see through pieces are my latest obsession. And of course I completed the look with my black booties and turned my braids from the last look to some low space buns.
Oh, and how could I forget this beautiful holographic bag from Skating Duck. The brand is full of such 90’s grunge fashion pieces and you definitely need to check this one out. Click here to see more.
That’s all for the day my loves. Let me know what you thought of the story in the comments below. It would really mean a ton.
Credits to the amazing piece of photography go to my friend Aparna of Amemoir Photography. Show some girl love here. 🙂
Until next time,
