A lot of things that I hated earlier have made their comebacks this season. Bell bottoms and velvet top my list. Bell bottoms made me look much skinnier and velvet, well I never liked it. I thought it was the worst of fabrics and was so OTT. Funny how you change with time right?
Now bell bottoms seem to be taking over my wardrobe one piece at a time and velvet too is finding its way. Well velvet definitely is one of the most beautiful fabrics we have, and I took my sweet time to realise that.
Today I’ve got two velvet-full looks for you. For me, the key to wear velvet is to keep it simple. Too much accessorizing and playing around may come out as a little too much (Which sometimes I don’t mind doing!). For casual days, this is how you rock your velvets- by keeping it minimal.
Look 01: I found myself drooling over these pants the first time I saw them but took about 6 months to actually order them. I was skeptical on how they might come out looking. And with everyday of me caring a little less about others, I decided to go for it. Wore it with a basic top and Chuck Taylors and loved the result.
Look 02: The sale at Koovs had me going crazy this time. I bought two pair of high boots for 500 each, can you blame me? Anyway, I also bought this beautiful emerald green romper from Boohoo at Koovs. This is my favourite kind of green and I couldn’t resist. Again, I kept it simple with nothing but a pair of yellow heels for a colour pop. That’s all, and you thought velvet was too much work! Haha
So here we go folks! Tell me what you think about this one in the comments below.
