So much has happened. And so much is happening. No matter how much we move forward, there is always something to pull us right back, to pull us down.
We may feel short, small, tiny, minute but trust me, we matter. I matter. You matter.
I remember my father always told me how he would love it, if I become a doctor or teacher. Why? They’re very respectable jobs he would tell me. This is what women ARE seen as, nurturers! I say ‘are’ because with all that’s currently happening, aren’t we still fighting to get out this shell?
I have always believed a woman is so much more. She is the maker and the destroyer. She is as strong as she is weak.
Women have come to take so many roles. And let me tell you ladies, there is no going back!
Brand in focus: Orunie by Vasundhara Sharma
I love lady entrepreneurs. They make me feel strong. Before I met Vasundhara, I thought she must be just another brand owner. She changed my mind with her strong concepts and reasoning! Her work, her creations, they’re all, a part of her. All the bags and art she sells is not just beautiful but extremely functional, keeping in mind the kind of lives we live today!
From the pretty designs, to the smallest little pocket, everything has been all thought of and that’s what makes all the difference!
Through our collaboration, Vasundhara and I decided to talk about the modern woman. The woman that is you, that is me!
The strong headed business woman. The multi-tasker. She’s stern but she cares. She works her ass off. The timings maybe 9-5, she operates 24×7.
Who thought we could do business! Make money and make more money. Wear pants. If I find this so revolutionary today, in 2017, I have no idea what it must have felt like when women wore pants for the first time. One more reason I love fashion, it has so much history. The pair of pants we wear every single day, have a long history that we don’t bother thinking about. I think its time we did.
Let’s dive in!
