I have lived in the hills all my life. As kids we would go and collect firewood, for fun. Spending a day in the jungle was an adventure. The sweet parents had no idea about it and the constant fear of leopards and tigers who we had heard about in stories would make us crawl at every unfamiliar sound. The wild flowers and the large trees that gave no sight of the sky, was all a charm. The dogs would be your jungle companions and monkeys would scare you to death. Some times when I think of it, life in the hills is indeed one of the best.
I have started feeling chilly in my class room’s AC and my night walks on the terrace. This is a sign. Winter is coming. (That’s most from Game of Thrones that I know of!) In my hometown on the other hand, winter is blooming quite swiftly and my father does not leave the house without a jacket.
So for north India, the good times are here. And even though you may judge me for a fact that I like summer better, I don’t mind dressing up for winters too! Specially right now, when you don’t have to layer tons of garments, not here in the capital at least. Hence, here is my guide to light layering which I am quite implementing these days!
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade out of it;
And when life gives you leather, make pants out of it.
Hey everyone, how are we doing?
As you must have guessed, I am talking about leather pants today. Of course not pure leather, no. I do not advocate any form of abuse on animals for clothing purposes. Specially when we have such great synthetic substitutes for them.
Happy new year to all you beautiful who take time out to read my blog. Before anything, I want to thank everybody for the endless love and support you have all given in. It has made me so much stronger and confident and trust me nothing is better than doing what you love. You all have made this experience worth it all. And as the year starts, I promise to bring you a lot more of fashion, style hacks, DIYs and cheap buys haha! Lets get started with the first one for this year.
Hello my loves!
How are we doing today? Friday is here and so is a brand new post! Lately, I have been talking about how you can easily rock your summer wardrobe favorites in this fall. Well, technically it should be winter, and in my hometown it actually is, Delhi seems to be a little slow! Earlier I showed you how you could totally rock your t-shirts this season and today we are going to talk about bodycon dresses!
What is the one thing you love about winters? The cozy blankets? The great booties? The large jackets? Well actually, there is nothing to not like. In a tropical country like India, we all love winters.
I have been brought up in Nainital which is a hill station, so I have had a lot of winter and snow in my life but when I moved to Delhi and witnessed the extreme summers, I could see people literally pray for some chilly winds here in the capital. Trust me when I say this but it was only this Wednesday, that we people in Delhi have finally received signs of winter from God. That is the biggest reason why I am starting with my autumn/winter lookbook now. But yes, finally I am! Yayyyy.
