As ridiculous as the title may sound, this has been a very much requested post by a lot of you who read the blog. Given the diverse country we live in, in most places, donning short, revealing clothes is not a possibility. Most girls asked me to do this so they can look fabulous and not turn up to college looking like Pooh from K3G and ultimately getting kicked out of the campus. Some of us are facing the rules set by the society, our parents and some other forces. Illuminati? Maybe that too. Honestly, I get out with wearing such clothes mostly because I do not live with my folks. So, while I strongly believe in wearing what you want, twisting your choices to respect the surroundings and occasions doesn’t hurt.
When I first decided to do this story, the one title that came to my head was, “How to do an all-white outfit without looking like a cigarette!” Or, a tampon? But the matter of fact is, you ARE going to look like a cigarette and you definitely are going to look like a tampon. Should it stop you from doing it? NOPE, absolutely not.
Back in school, in the senior secondary, in English we had a chapter called Going Places. The story revolved around a girl, Sophie, who loved day dreaming and sometimes went a little too far. Her dreams started to look like realities to her and she was lost.
I am a woman.
I am shy and I am bold.
I am weak, I am also strong.
I am an emotion and no emotions at all.
I am sweet, I am also bitter.
I am powerful and powerless.
I am warm but I am also cold.
I am absolute sense, I make no sense.
I am peace and I am chaos.
I am the end, I am also hope.
I am the light, I am darkness.
I am easy and also difficult.
I am everything and nothing.
I am only human and I am a goddess.
I am a woman.
Have you ever wondered if you belong to this era? Or are you old school? Or just too ahead of this time?
Well, I am always confused for my belonging. Definitely not too much into the future but never sure if I like the flared pants and big sunglasses of the 70’s more, the Victorian era with ruffles and layers or the rad 90’s with chokers and mini skirts! I am always divided. More often than not, I wake up with the mood. The mood on how and what era-wise I want to dress myself up that particular day. The struggle is real my friend.
If you have been following the blog, you know what I am talking about. I cannot fit in a mould. I would hate to do that. Well, you know what mood I am in today? Something people refer to as “RETRO”! With pop colours, loud lipsticks, hair-styles like pin-up girls and everything over the top.
I just came back from a camping trip from Mukteshwar in Uttarakhand. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of the place but you must definitely give it a visit. It was an amazing and overwhelming experience and I can’t wait to go back already. I hope your weekend was fun too. 😀
Anyways, now I am back to the regular things but thankfully I have no complaints. I love my college and my blog is everything to me so I don’t think I don’t like getting back to it. I am always excited for the next one. One should always do what they love, always.
Today’s post is in collaboration with Jabong. I am sure you know about it already and also of the fact that Jabong is one place you can get your hands on a lot of the International brands that do not sell anywhere else. That is the main catch and my absolute favorite thing about it. Also, amongst the other brands too I like that Jabong is very comfortable to shop from. Unlike many other similar e-com sites, Jabong has a very filtered list of brands and styles.
Aren’t we a little too busy these days? Well, I definitely am. First, the college, the blog, the festivities going around and oh god the upcoming exams! I sure seem to have lost it already. In all this mess and crazy schedule, who has the time to go out shopping for the perfect festive outfit! I flip out even at the thought of wasting hours shopping when I have the fear of exams above my shoulders! Yes, just the fear. I haven’t opened a book yet and I waste my whole day watching movies but yes going out to shop sure freaks me out!
