Let me start with a funny story. When I was a kid, about 6 years old, my cousin got married. And among other clothes for the wedding, me and my brother were bought a pair of dungarees each.. My brother decided to wear it everyday, EVERY DAY. After a day of the wedding, the men of the family, along with all the kids were supposed to go pick up our cousin from her in-laws’, as per the traditions. My brother insisted on wearing the same dungarees, again! My mom had given them out for a wash but my brother wouldn’t budge. And as life (or my mom!) would have it my brother had to decide whether to go without his dungarees or not go at all and in between his crying fits, we decide to leave him to it. Haha!
As ridiculous as the title may sound, this has been a very much requested post by a lot of you who read the blog. Given the diverse country we live in, in most places, donning short, revealing clothes is not a possibility. Most girls asked me to do this so they can look fabulous and not turn up to college looking like Pooh from K3G and ultimately getting kicked out of the campus. Some of us are facing the rules set by the society, our parents and some other forces. Illuminati? Maybe that too. Honestly, I get out with wearing such clothes mostly because I do not live with my folks. So, while I strongly believe in wearing what you want, twisting your choices to respect the surroundings and occasions doesn’t hurt.
Dress over pants is quite debatable. I remember I would question why people couldn’t just wear the efffin dress. Guess what, I was a judgemental prick and I have no qualms in accepting that. Now I know what other people choose to do is none of my business. Anyway, thanks to being more aware and understanding not only the new trend of people wearing pants under their dresses, but also the need that sometimes, thanks to a lot of other reasons, you need to wear pants and of course, you still want to buy that pretty dress, right? I know because I come from a place like that.
It snowed in my hometown (Nainital) last night and I am so bummed to have missed it for 5 years in a row now. Ugh.
So to put myself in a better mood and to come to terms with the realisation that I haven’t posted a story in the last week, I decided to share one.
Don’t we girls just love the long, big, warm sweaters which we either steal from our brothers/boyfriends or just buy them that way, because only god knows how good it feels. I bought this green one while I was home for Diwali and I really don’t seem to get enough. I have worn it multiple times already and I think we can all relate.
So, as is quite obvious, I decided to show you how you could style those big, comfortable, jumpers in three different ways!
In case you have followed my blog for sometime, you must have come across ways I style different things in. I love it and that basically was why I started the blog in the first place.
Shirts are my favourite when it comes to these styling extravaganzas. I have already done some stories on styling a shirt. In case you missed, here you go MY TRYST WITH A BOYFRIEND SHIRT!, ONE SHIRT FIVE WAYS; REVISITED!!.
But recently I came across a view that people felt that these styling experiments can only be done with basic, plain, and in other words, boring shirts. Today, we are proving that wrong.
I wasted the whole day sleeping. What an achievement! I already feel guilty. Does it happen to you too? Anyway, not wasting any more minute, let’s do this.
Third Coachella Look? Are we here already? You guys gave a great response to the first two and I am so psyched for this one. So, keeping this one short without a lot of blabbering, I’ll jump to the post straight. Oh, but in case you haven’t seen the previous Coachella Inspired looks, please click Coachella Inspired : 01 and Coachella Inspired :02.
How are we doing today? My life has been quite down-hill lately. I have some hair infection thanks to which I am left with 20% of what hair I used to have and it just won’t stop. And of course I am quite upset about it. There is one thing however, that makes me smile and keeps me motivated and that’s this blog and you guys! I hope you guys will still love me even if I got bald. Haha (no, I’m serious.)
Anyways, let’s cut the gloom and come to today’s post. Today is going to be another style fiesta and I am sure you are going to love this one. We all know what a rage the falling shoulder tops are this season and of course we can’t help but get our hands on one.
